I am an interdisciplinary maker of performances, installations, videos, films and experiences. I come from a background in devised theatre and value collaborative processes, ways of making that are reciprocal rather than extractive, collective rather than individualistic, and rooted in interdependence instead of isolation. The work I make is intimate, casual and vulnerable. 

My work is rooted in the belief that art should function as a relationship, as part of everyday life rather than confined behind institutional walls. I believe in organic, ecological, rhizomatic models of relation, care and reciprocity, and therefore have no interest in binaries or hierarchies, including those of the distant, impersonal and elitist relationships between and within performer-participant, private versus public, and language. I search for ways of navigating vulnerability, sharing, boundaries, love, labor, privacy and trust. Acts of serving, consuming, hiding, revealing, giving and receiving all become  ways of questioning how we relate to one another. I embrace imperfection, impermanence and uncertainty. I make works that are immersive and intra-active, challenging but accessible. Participants are both witnesses and collaborators in a continual search for tenderness and presence. 

My investment in community, social practice, site-work, public art, collective action and creation or my investment in artistic mediums that resist commodification is not a personal preference but a survival strategy and a socio-political ethical position in our individualist, neoliberal, late-stage capitalist reality.
